ABOUT Sharon Herbert – Anxiety / Trauma Therapist & Coach
I wasn’t always a Therapist.

For the past 30 years I have served in the Emergency Services and I know how flippin’ painful & amazing life’s journey can be.
I have experienced significant emotional events, trauma, juggled a challenging career along with a family & the pressure to succeed across all areas of life.
Knowing first hand just how debilitating and life limiting stress, anxiety, overwhelm & trauma can be, I decided I wanted to find out who I could be without them, I was ready for change!
After being on my own healing journey, I took the decision to train in a number of therapies and to move into private practice. I haven’t looked back since.
I take a personalised, integrative mind-body approach to all my work, getting to the root cause.
My approach is highly personalised, integrating innovative, evidence-based techniques and therapies to help you achieve powerful change.
Modalities I use, include:
Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, AMDR, Positive Psychology, EFT, Compassion Based Therapy, Somatic Healing , NLP, Parts Work and Breath-Work.

In September 2015 a pilot study was published in the Mental Health Review Journal. Recording that, using 118 cases measuring the effectiveness of Cognitive Hypnotherapy for the treatment of Depression and Anxiety, 71% considered themselves recovered after an average of 4 sessions.
This compared to an average of 42% for other approaches using the same measures (like CBT).
